Of course adding jobs is beneficial, but why do the legislators repeat their folly: cutting spending and jobs then suggesting stimulus to reverse what just occured. Basic Economics Today shows that stimulus in the service sector and capital investment is more prudent.

To answer your question above, Mr. Kennedy. I am not sure, but I could guess it is for some political reason, power struggle, or what is needed at that time to prevent some economic tragedy. The Government doesn't always share everything with the public for reasons they deem best. So, most of time citizens guess why leaders do what they do. I am sure that sometimes we are right, but other times we are way in left field. As I may be trying to answer why cutting spending, jobs, and stimulus is often cyclic.
